How To Find Us.
By Car.
From the M6 Junction 36, take the turn onto the A590 towards Ulverston/Barrow. Take the 1590 ramp to the left signed A6/Barrow/Milnthorpe/Newby Bridge. Follow the A590 and at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on the A590 into Newby Bridge.
At the roundabout turn right onto the A592. Signposted Bowness. And then take the first lane on your right (signed Staveley Church). April Cottage is 2 minutes down the road on the left hand side on a corner where the road meets a quiet lane.
Parking
There is one designated parking space on the road opposite April Cottage. Additional cars may park on the road elsewhere in the village.
By Train.
The closest train station is Oxenholme, near Kendal on the West Coast Main Line (WCML), providing regular trains from both London Euston, Glasgow, Preston and Manchester. There are regular bus services from Kendal to Ulverston and Barrow via Newby Bridge, a ten minute walk from the railway.
